Didn't God make you into a new creation?
How come it is so hard for you to walk out the promises of God?
Am I really saved?
When you were born again, Jesus made you a new creation. He created you a new spirit. You are now one with Christ's spirit.
7 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
This means the Spirit of God, or the Spirit that lives in Christ is now living in you. Therefore, you are one with Christ.
1 Cor. 6:17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
1 Cor. 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.
You are really three in one body. You are made of three different parts yet one creation. You consist of body, soul and Spirit. Here is the breakdown as I see it:
Your body is what you can physically and feel. This is you flesh. Your skin, nerves, organs....anything that consist of your biological body.
The second part of you is your soul. This is where your "mind" or "heart" is. This is where all your emotions dwell. This is the place where parts of your personality dwell.
The third part or rather the inner core of your being is the spirit. When you were a sinner lost and heading for hell your spirit was dead in trespasses and sins.
Colossians 2: 13
And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
Ephesians 2:1
And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
2Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
3Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
4But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
5Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved...
And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
Ephesians 2:1

When you received Jesus Christ as your personal saviour, your spirit was born again and you became a NEW CREATION in Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 4: 23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.
What does this mean? This means that the same spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you. The same spirit that dwells in the Lord lives in you. This means you are not the "you" that you actually can relate with. There is a NEW YOU, the spirit of Christ living in you.
Romans 8:11
But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
Your salvation has now been sealed. You are eternally saved because you have believed in the Lord Jesus Christ and believed that He is the Son of God that has come to take away the sins of this world. Can you lose this salvation? No!! Unless you deny the Spirit of God. You no longer believe in His name. What if you sin and fall short? You are still seen as righteous before the eyes of the Lord. You can always come boldly to the throne room of grace and come before the Father. The Lord sees you as a new creation. He looks at you as He would look at His own son. You are clean before His eyes.
Ephesians 1:13
In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
Hebrews 4:16
Hebrews 4:16
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
But I just sinned the other day, how can I be "clean" or "righteous" before God.
Your sinful nature lives in your soul and body. Once you have believed in Jesus your spirit is not Sinful. Your soul and body are sinful but never your spirit. Your spirit is of Christ.
Does this give you a right to go and sin now? OF COURSE NOT!!
The spirit of God will continually convict of you of sins you may be committing, but this does not mean you are a sinner. You are a new creation, but you still live in the flesh of the soul and body. Your role is to become diligent to bring your soul and body under subjection to the spirit of Christ which lives in your body. Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Bring all your nature under the obedience of Christ.
What do you do when you sin? When the Lord convicts you of sin, come to the Lord and say your sorry for sinning against your body, against others. Remember though you have already been forgiven. God loves you and has already forgiven you.
James 5:16
Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
1 John 1:9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
2And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
Sin allows the enemy to have an entry way into our lives here on earth. He wants to destroy all creation of God. He wants to make all of God's children miserable. This only happens if we let him by allowing the door to be open for his works. When we are filled with the power of God and a renewed mind then we have in a sense closed that door. Constantly be in check and realize that you are first and foremost a new creation. You are God's property and you are not a "sinful person". Yes, sin can come but you can shut that door realizing that no sin is allowed to enter the door.

Ephesians 4:27 Neither give place to the devil.
1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour
Proverbs 28:15 As a roaring lion, and a ranging bear; so is a wicked ruler over the poor people.
Zephaniah 3:3 Her princes in her midst are roaring lions; Her judges are evening wolves That leave not a bone till morning.
John 10:10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

John 10:10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
This is such a freeing realization of who we are in Christ and His goodness. When we become aware that we have the same power of God living in our body, we can overcome anything this world is bringing against us. ANYTHING: Sickness, poverty, bad attitudes, depression, hate, strife, and even financial difficulties. Realize that you are not of this world and our spirit is who we really are, so this means you are not of this world. Yes, we still live in an earthly tent but our spirit is seated in the heavenly places with Christ.
John 17:14 I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
1 John 5:4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.
With this knowledge of who we are, we can lay hand on the sick and see them recover. If can see blind eyes be made open, we can see miracles we have never seen in our lives. This will only take place as we renew our minds continually.
The same faith that Jesus Christ had is in us. Receive this measure of faith and go forth and touch this world.
Praise the Lord for His Goodness!!!
Free in Christ
